Very good talk about issues Etsy ran into upgrading to PHP.

Also went over performance gains and other benefits.

Digressed a little into some tools which aren't HHVM specific, but a worthwhile talk.

Interesting so see a solid real-world example of HHVM in the wild, rather than "yet another what-is-HHVM talk". Explained the pros and cons of it and just an all-round fair judgement. I liked the overview of the pfff tools. For me personally, I would've liked to see a bit more of a technical dive into things Etsy had to do - it was a little overview-y perhaps?

Really interesting talk, now maybe I don't have much of a practical application for it (at the moment!) but it was really interesting to get insight into the process of changing a system like this and the problems it throws up in addition to all the potential benefits.

Good talk about how Etsy got started with HHVM and the problems they had to solve. Will need to look more into HHVM...

Best talk of the event for me! The culture at Etsy is something that I'm especially inspired by and interested in. Dan's delivery was excellent and represented his passion for the subject. Really looking forward to hearing him talk again.

This was a very different talk to the other non-keynote sessions I attended - no concrete takeaways at all, but that was kind of the point. Just interesting to hear about the challenges that organisations at that kind of scale encounter and the approaches they take to dealing with them.

A very dry style perfectly complemented some very interesting war-stories from Dan - I particularly appreciated a blow-by-blow telling of his adoption of HHVM. Perfectly judged and paced.

This talk provided a fascinating insight into the issues faced by a large company as it migrated between technologies, including the basics of how they tested and introduced the standards.

Lots of callouts to other people, which sometimes detracted from an otherwise excellent experience.

Great talk and very relevant. I'm interested in doing more with HHVM, now I know what to expect.

Next time I'd like a bit more information about setup, configuration and troubleshooting.

I love performance, so this talk was music to my ears. Can't wait to give HHVM a try and hopefully I wont fall into the any of the problems highlighted by Dan.

Probably one of my favourite talks of the conference. Interesting, funny, well presented has inspired me to tinker and play more with a very cool technology.

Well done!
