Yet another great talk from @lornajane, delivered with personality and in a way that would suit a wide spectrum of skill levels.
In particular, Lorna did a brilliant job of explaining the intricacies of Scalar Type Hints, a notoriously misunderstood feature.

great talk lorna, good good content well presented. little off topic; i was surprised that you didnt entice the audience with the option of php7 in docker container.

We know we should be using PHP7, but it can be difficult to quantify the reasons - Lorna's talk was great at giving solid reasons for migrating, and explaining how some of the new features work.

A great intro to PHP 7, it could have perhaps benefited from going a little faster to get one of two more new features mentioned but overall it was warmly presented and very clear. Code examples were nice, simple and big enough to read!

A great introduction to PHP7, one that made me feel totally at ease with trying it out in development on new projects. Quite a lot of detail was included, but the pace of the talk was perfect and easy to follow even for those of us stuck on

I always love Lorna's talks. They make me so excited to get out there and use the new tech. Last year it prompted me to upgrade my personal servers; this year, I'm going to be setting up a PHP7 dev server at work so we can use the latest version.

I've heard PHP7 talks from Rasmus and Derick, but this was the first one where I understood how and where to start using php7 features. That was a major difference between previous talks I've seen and it really helped solidifying writing PHP7 code at a user level.

There was good use of pauses in the speech that gave me a second to digest the talk which was greatly apprecicated.

Also enjoyed the honesty in the Q&A.

Trying to work out if theres anything i think could have been improved, but failing to find one.
