PHP 7.0 was released one-and-a-half years ago, PHP 7.1 was released half-a-year ago, and PHP 7.2 will be released later this year. It is high time to have a critical look at the PHP 7 ecosystem. How stable is PHP 7? How widespread is its usage in the wild? Have standard solutions, frameworks, libraries, and tools caught up with the new generation? Was hoping for a little more info on new 7.2 features but still a good presentation with a lot of data to back it up. Upgrade already!

Sebastian did a great job. Was quite eye opening to see the usage of PHP 7 in the wild vs older versions. Also was comforting to hear that migration and support is easy and available, much moreso that when it was in pre-release.

Good talk by Sebastian covering PHP 7. Stats and charts were good, reasonings for upgrading to PHP 7 current were clear, and pace was just right.

A great motivational talk why people should upgrade to the latest PHP version, not only for work but also open source projects. The examples given in the talk showed the audience what could go wrong if you don't upgrade.
Superb presentation style, good pace and clear slides. Well done!

My favorite part about this is that my boss was in the audience.
Maybe now, he'll listen to me when I say we need to upgrade!

It was very good to hear current info on the latest version of PHP 7. It's great to be around all these brilliant minds! And it did sound like migrating from 5 to 7 might not be as painful as originally thought.
