Interesting talk, although it focused a bit too much on the Symfony components.

From my point of view I found the symfony components focus helpful as integrating the ZF ones is pretty straightforward - as stefan said, ZF is a component library by default. The only thing I maybe would have liked is more of a look at some of the existing plugins to see how they exposed the features - as a guide to the best way of working etc.

Interesting talk, the speaker seems to know the topic pretty well. No real magic, but worthwhile listening.
