Whether you want to keep track of a tiny library or your friends borrowing from your bookshelf, event sourcing can help you collect where your books are going. When you are ready, the simple check in and check out events can build reports of what books need to be returned, or where a book may have traveled. We will use this simple project to navigate the data structures in event sourcing and show how you may use event sourcing in your next project.

I thought Emily's presentation was well done and relatable. For something I knew very little about going into the talk, I never felt lost or over my head with the material. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her finished project!

I loved the hand-drawn illustrations and story-driven talk. This was a cool talk that gave me some ideas for a project I'm currently working on at work.

Emily was great at breaking down this topic and going beyond a simple how-to tutorial by providing the context and rationale behind her decisions and thought process. Her talk saves developers hours of research. Her pacing and delivery were spot on, too. Loved the illustrations and example.

i haven't found many talks on event sourcing in PHP and Laravel, so seeing some real examples was great. It was also good to hear that event sourcing can be and is being used only in parts of an application.

As I use events more and more, I appreciated Emily's coherent demonstration of the whole picture. Her telling of a story was great and definitely added to enjoyment of the session.
