Things I Believe Now That I’m Old
This talk was incredible, and the most influential talk of the conference for me. It's a pleasure seeing Ross grow as a speaker each time he speaks, and also a bit of shock to say that, since he is already a fantastic speaker. This talk itself was so distinctly un-technical, but so incredible helpful and valuable. The presentation, the content, and even the slides were impeccable.

Lisp
There are a few amazing things about Igor's talk. First, that *anyone* is intelligent and interested enough to learn and love the things he does. Second, that both Laracon conference organizers had the wisdom to step outside of Laravel- and PHP-specific topics to see that we could derive value from talks about Lisps and Abstract Machines. And third, that Igor is so capable of distilling things like this that they're actually followable. I'll admit, he lost me a little after the halfway point of the abstract machines talk at Laracon US, but I recognize that folks with a little more Computer Science experience than me followed fine. But I followed this one perfectly the entire time, and really appreciate the way it's helped me to understand the general use and control flow of all programming languages in general. Fantastic.

Sammy is an incredible and engaging speaker. Intelligent, funny, well-spoken, and makes it just simple enough but not *too* simple. Really great stuff.

Asynchronous PHP
I've always thought of asynchronous PHP as a magical unicorn that people much smarter than me use. This talk made async PHP completely comprehensible and approachable. Really great stuff.

Migrating Legacy PHP Applications to Laravel
We've done a similar upgrade -- once from ZF1 and once from CodeIgniter -- and it took a lot of hard work to make this up as we went. This talk would've been hugely helpful. Great and well-presented talk!

IoC container beyond constructor injection
I've given a talk about the Laravel container before, and I still learned a few key things during this talk--great work here!
