I am good at JavaScript, I swear.
Extremely well-delivered talk! You should probably move your career to acting, you'll probably make more money than with software... and yes you'll get rid of all this annoying JS fatigue (fatigue)!

SPA, isomorphic and back to the server: our journey with JavaScript
Very informative and inspiring talk, showing realistic code on real examples, so I felt it was providing extremely practical pieces of advice that can work as well for other business and products. Also, the delivery was impeccable, which is definitely the result of having acquired a great experience over the years as a speaker and tech influencer!

Advanced TypeScript: elegant solutions to common problems
I think Stefano did an awesome job in introducing the advantages of typescript in such a short amount of time. Plus I think the live demo (which is always very tricky time-wise) was prepared and performed extremely well. All the examples were very easy to understand and, at the same time, they were not trivial and somewhat realistic. Every example was building on top of the previous one so it was rather simple to keep the pace and understand why every feature mattered. 4 Stars only because I believe the title was a bit misleading, I felt it more like an introduction to typescript and its features rather than an advanced talk, anyway I have no doubt he could have kept going in all sort of details with more time available! :)

Test like it's 2017
Very nice and clear presentation about Jest and some of its lesser known features. For the time available Michele did a great job with delivering a lot of information without overwhelming the audience. He also kept a friendly and funny tone which made the talk even more enjoyable. Kudos!

Visual Regression Testing: from a tool to a process
I really enjoyed Nikhil's talk especially because he brought up tools and techniques that are used every day in a real, mid-sized company. I feel like I got a lot of food for thoughts and a better understanding of pratices that very few people (and companies) actually use and that can be extremely beneficial to embrace for the next project.

JavaScript @ Uber
Very informative and detailed talk about a big (and hyper-growing) organisation took advantage of JavaScript and Node.js. I really loved the fact that dusting underlined that Node.js is not the only way and that they actually prefer Go/Java for some tasks. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because I felt the talk was a bit too lengthy and ended up being a bit boring toward the end.

What the hell is fiber and why should I care
Very good introduction to Fiber in a relatively short amount of time. Considering that the topic isn't simple at all and requires a detailed knowledge of some of the React internals, I felt that Fatos did an incredible job in summarising the main concepts, providing meaningful examples and then suggesting some more learning materials for those who want to get into more depth on the subject. Kudos to Fatos for the great job!

Calendar / Kalender / تقويم (aka, the fun of locali[zs]ation)
Very informative and detailed talk about a topic that is very often underrated in the IT world. Paul didn't just deliver a clear presentation filled with examples and a real "war stories", but he did it with the right amount of details and humour which kept it very engaging across the full duration of the talk.

The dangers of object oriented designs
This was one of the talks I enjoyed more during the whole conference. It's not easy to discuss this very opinionated kind of topics in such a short amount of time, but I have to say, Massi did it very well! He told his own story, his trip to switching his mindset from classic C++ OOP practices to a more functional approach along many years. Plus he backed all his opinions with quotes from some big IT experts and influencers making the rationale behind the talk even stronger. Now it's up to us to embrace a more functional mindset during our daily job and see how it works for us! Thanks Massi!
