Building Modern APIs in Expressive
Information was useful and current. Easy to understand and follow along. A good primer for anyone new to APIs or a good comprehensive review of fundamentals for someone experienced writing APIs in modern frameworks.

Securing Web Services: Fundamentals, Lessons Learnt, Common Vulnerabilities and Security Strategies
Material was current and comprehensive. The talk was overall informative, but as others observed there were some slides with information that was hard to see. In general, I really enjoyed the talk and would recommend it to others who are wanting to better understand the role security plays in our applications and why it's so important.

Philosophy in Code: I Kant Even
Talk was interesting and thought provoking though at times moved too fast and lacked clear applied samples at times. Would've appreciated more time to dive into the application of different philosophical ideas in the real world rather than quickly moving on to the next high level topic. Enjoyed the enthusiasm of the speaker and personal touches to the slides which included some humorous memes.

How to Communicate When You are from Mars and the Business is from Venus
Great concepts. Knowledgable and enthusiastic speaker. Fun audience involvement. A valuable talk that was enjoyable to hear. The only piece I think was left out was more guidance on real world application of the concepts presented. Some high level examples were provided but the audience was left to fill in the gaps on their own on how to leverage these ideas in the real world.

SlimPHP - When you don't need the kitchen sink
Even as an experienced Slim user, it was great to see a Slim expert do a dive into Slim and demonstrate in a real-code way how to get the most out of Slim.

Forget accessibility - Think inclusive design
An entertaining speaker who spoke from firsthand struggles and experiences. Very insightful. Shows us that simply opening up to other perspectives can help others enjoy the products and services we use.
