MySQL 8 -- A New Beginning
Really informative and a bonus Star Wars scroll.

Performance optimisation: how do I go about it?
Really informative, well communicated and greet use of emojis. My only feedback would be a couple of times you read the points on the slides, but it's a minor gripe.

Behaviour Driven Development and Behat: Telling Stories Through Code
Really well presented. The biggest takeaway is that BDD's greatest value isn't in automating the tests but the discovery process to write the tests. The slides being very readable was a bonus too. A mention of Alice and how it sets up the environment would have been great in the talk although it was covered in the questions.

The secrets of Cryptography
Great talk. Have to say it started going over my head after enigma, but that's my limits of maths rather than the speaker. Very much enjoyed it.

Profiling with Blackfire.io
A great overview of profilers and a deeper dive into backfire.io. Slides were clear and we'll laid out. I've come away with more knowledge than I started with despite having used a few profiling tools.

Having fun with Drupal 8, PHP Libraries and the Drupal.org API
Really interesting stuff and a very brief overview of some of the core D8 principles like dependancy injection and routing. Felt like maybe a little too much was crammed in, a talk on just routing and services and DI would have filled the time easily. I think next time focus more on the API and less on the gubbins of Drupal. For a talk that was thrown together at late notice I thought you did a brilliant job!

Test to Break Principle
Enjoyed the talk. Learned a couple of really useful bits about PHPUnit too. Suggestions for improvement are very minor. I'd go faster over the acceptance criteria slides. No need to read them fully. Would also have the string concantination ready to copy paste rather than type out. Only as a pacing thing.

Let's get you geared up to tackle legacy code
Great talk. Learnt loads and have a good few takeaways to think about. The humour was fantastically deployed too.
